AFEA implemented an integrated social contribution and solidarity program in 2019 as part of its Corporate Social responsibility Program and with a mission to support vulnerable social groups and contribute to the community through various initiatives that are now an integral part of the company's culture.
AFEA has supported a number of initiatives, organizations and institutions and some of the main actions and initiatives of social context undertaken by AFEA are shown in the following points:
In addition, in the context of the 28th Panhellenic Congress of the Hellenic Thoracic Society and in collaboration with the Organizing Committee, awareness raising and information activities were carried out on the voluntary donation of haematopoietic progenitor cells / bone marrow, as well as new volunteer donors’ registrations were conducted in collaboration with “Vision of Hope”, a bone marrow donor bank. At the same time, the Scientific Society and the Organizing Committee of the Conference donated to the "Ark of the World", for the second consecutive year, conference bags left over or returned by the delegates.
Many important social responsibility actions were also implemented in the context of the 15th Hellenic Nutrition-Dietetics Congress and the 4th Hellenic Congress on Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism. The organizing committee of the conference offered food to the organization "Lighthouse of Hope" through "We Can", and offered conference material and stationery to the NGO "Ark of the World".
Ms. Dimitra Lignou, AFEA Deputy CEO, commented:
