AFEA received the Gold Recognition Level from EcoVadis for its Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy and actions, and as a result is ranked among the top 5% of companies from all sectors worldwide, assessed for their responsible business practices. Throughout 2017,
AFEA designed, developed and implemented an integrated Corporate Social Responsibility strategy in cooperation with AIPHORIA Consulting, with the aim to identify and manage issues related to Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development practices.
The results of AFEA's intensive efforts in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility are significant, accredited by third-party assessment platforms such as EcoVadis. EcoVadis is a collaborative platform enabling companies to monitor sustainable performance of their suppliers. Its methodology covers annually over 30,000 suppliers from 150 sectors, 110 countries and 21 CSR indicators. The system analyzes and evaluates a company’s performance over four major categories: Environment, Labor, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement.
Within the framework of the implemented Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, a number of actions were carried out, such as:
Additionally, AFEA became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, which is the international initiative of the United Nations which calls companies to take action towards the protection of labor and human rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
